Baseline Technologies was established in 1990, and offers Portable Instruments for measurement of Sound and Vibration, including analysis, monitoring, field-balancing, and custom measurement solutions in the above areas.
The Sound Instruments range known under the brand name “Cygnet” was merged-in from its associate company Cygnet Systems in December 2000. Today it is the most respected brand of Sound Meters in India, being the only one to meet National and International Standards.
Cygnet operations centre around acoustic measurement solutions. In addition to the various standard range of instruments, it also has intensive experience in the field of customised measurement solutions involving environmental impact studies.
The Company was promoted in 1990 and is currently actively managed by Mr Naveen Anand, who is a professional engineer from I.I.T.Delhi (B.Tech - Electr.-1971) and also holds Post Graduation in Management from I.I.M. Ahmedabad. Mr Anand has spent a better part of his 40 years of working experience in the field of Vibration and Sound Level Instrumentation, and is considered a pioneer in this field for having introduced a range of these instruments for the first time in India. He is complemented in his efforts by a team of professional engineers from I.I.Ts and other institutes of repute in marketing and field support operations all over the country through a series of associate companies who have specialized in the field of acoustics, vibration and balancing.
BASELINE TECHNOLOGIES has also promoted a large number of professionals competent to carry out work in the areas of acoustics and vibrations. These are independent professionals, with a common objective of high professional standards and ethics applied to specialized fields of activity in this area.

- Environmental noise conformance studies for KSHI – prime contractor for Metro Rail in Delhi.
- Noise surveys for Maruti Corporate office and commercial area being developed around Vasant Kunj due to proximity to Palam airport.
- Noise surveys for a private 5 star- hotel property in proximity to Metro Rail
It operates from New Delhi, and sells, supports all its products from 5 associate locations located at New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata.
